La Grande, Ore. – It will be a huge weekend of basketball at Eastern Oregon this weekend as the Victory Sports Network will be on hand to see a pair of Cascade Conference double headers.

The Mountaineer men’s basketball team is currently 18-4 and hold a #10 ranking going into this week while the women’s basketball team is 17-7 and ranked #17 going into this week. Both teams are vying for spots in their respective NAIA DII National tournaments with this weekend’s game being crucial to their chances at making it.

The action begins Friday night as Concordia University (OR) comes to LaGrande for a men’s and women’s games. The action starts at 5:30 Pacific. The Concordia men’s team is 12-11 while the women are 13-11.

On Saturday the Mountaineers will play host to Corban College (OR) in a men’s and women’s doubleheader with the women’s game set to tip again at 5:30 Pacific. Corban’s men are 8-16 while the women are also 8-16.

“This is a great opportunity to see some Cascade Conference basketball in a great environment,” said Jason Dannelly of VSN. “We’re very pleased that Eastern Oregon and their athletic director Rob Cashelle have given us this opportunity to see their team up close and in person.”

Once the Victory Sports network arrives on site Friday they will determine if it is possible to broadcast a live video stream. If so, VSN will have live video of all four games this weekend from La Grande, Oregon.
