SIOUX CITY, Iowa - (Box Score) With a barrage of 3s and five players registering double-figures, Northwestern (Iowa) rolled to a 100-47 win against Indiana Northwest in first-round action at the 19th Annual State Farm-NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship at the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena on Thursday. The Red Raiders became the first team to reach the century mark in this year's event and did so for the fifth time during their season.

Northwestern improves its season mark to 27-5 and is now 9-0 all-time in first-round games at the national championship. Up next for the Red Raiders is a 1:45 p.m. date on Friday against Sterling (Kan.). Indiana Northwest's first trip to Sioux City comes to a close and the Wildcats finish with a record of 22-11.

Northwestern raced out to a 16-3 lead within the first five minutes and never looked back, cruising to a 51-25 first-half lead. The Red Raiders shot a blistering 56 percent from 3-point land (14-of-25) and had seven players connect from downtown. Val Kleinjan drained five triples en route to a 17-point performance. Kami Khulmann had her fair share of treys with three and finished the game with 11 points. Junior Allison Hulst scored 15 of Northwestern's 44 points off the bench. Also posting double figures were Kendra De Jong and Randa Hulstein with 12 and 10 points, receptively.

Sharon Houston was all of Indiana Northwest's offense, pouring in 26 points on 11-of-32 shooting. She was also the game's leading rebounder with 15 and blocked five shots for the Wildcat defense. Ish Shah Terry scored seven points and Juliette Keller added five.
