SIOUX CITY, Iowa - (Box Score) Grand View ( Iowa ) notched a 63-53 win over Minot State (N.D.) in first-round action Wednesday at the 19th Annual State Farm-NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship at the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena.

With the win, Grand View improves to 3-1 in first round games and 26-8 on the season. The Vikings will face the winner of Hastings ( Neb. )/ Maine-Fort Kent game in second-round action on Friday at 12 p.m. Minot State 's campaign comes to an end in the first round for the second straight year. The Beavers finish with a record of 21-9.

The Vikings shot 22-of-53 and hit six treys in the win. Jennifer Jorgensen logged 20 points, with nine points coming from the charity stripe. She was joined in double figures by Bailey Schechinger and Jamie Sickles with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Micah Reed handed out seven assists.

Minot State was dominated down low on both ends of the court. The Beavers were out-rebounded 45-36 and gave up 24 points in the paint to the Vikings. MacKenzie Mack led the scoring efforts for Minot State with 17 points, connecting on seven of her 14 attempts, and also grabbed eight rebounds. Whitney Loftesnes came off the bench and added 12 points, all from 3-point land. Ari Hendrix contributed 11 points.
